Women in Lockdown Project

Women in Lockdown Project

Sheffield Feminist Archive is inviting women of all ages, races, and ethnicities and with any health conditions to share their experiences of life in Sheffield during the pandemic by participating in a Women in Lockdown project. They want to build a digital archive that captures, preserves and amplifies local women’s experiences.

Your submission could explore: health & wellbeing; communication; politics; how your feminist engagement has changed; mutual aid & community; daily life in lockdown; and anything else you might want to record! during these turbulent times, with hopes for coverage of subjects such as health and wellbeing

So if you’d like to contribute to a permanent record of how life has changed since 22 March 2020, you can do so by following the instructions here.

They are accepting submissions until September 1st 2021. For further information you can email sheffieldfeministarchive@gmail.com

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference
