    Tributes have been paid to Disability Sheffield stalwarts Andrew Crooks ( pictured ) and Brian Hodges who have both passed away in the last three weeks. We remember our colleague Andrew with great affection and admiration for his sense of humour, his friendliness and hardworking approach and Brian, our board trustee, as a much respected and founding member of Disability Sheffield.

    Cawston Park Closure

    We are shocked and disgusted to hear of the deaths of Joanna, Ben and Nicholas and the appalling lack of ‘care’ they received at Cawston Park. How many more deaths? How many more closures? How many more reports and recommendations ? How many more years do we have to wait until the government acts to close private assessment and treatment units for people with learning disabilities, autism or mental health needs? We call on the government to act NOW.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
