  • The Disability Hub - Is Basic Income the Alternative to Government Welfare Reforms?

    For more than 8 years disabled people in the UK have been hit by cuts in vital services, cuts in income and changes to the benefit system which are cruel and harmful. The Disability Hub asks, Is there is at least one alternative to these ideas: Basic Income Plus? This strongly fits within the 2018 DoDP Theme: Empowering persons with disabilities and ensuring inclusiveness and equality. When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
