Wellbeing Workshops For Young Autistic Women

Wellbeing Workshops For Young Autistic Women

Young women who have autism are invited to take part in a new series of free online sessions starting this month designed to improve wellbeing and creativity.

The workshops – set up by Sheffield organisation Access Space – will help participants explore and practice techniques such as breath work and meditation and will also give the chance to share experiences, a process designed to offer support in gaining more knowledge and self-insight.

There will be five sessions taking place on Tuesdays from 7-9pm. They start on June 8th and run to July 13th. There will also be a short one-to-one session before the workshop for those taking part. As places are limited it is asked that if you wish to join in you should be able to attend all sessions. The organisation says: “This will be a safe space in which you will be gently guided by another autistic woman to expand into new awareness and experience.”

For more information and to book a place please contact helen.purdie@hotmail.co.uk

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
