Sheffield Community Health Update

NHS Sheffield CCG has become part of the new NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board ( ICB ) which is now responsible for commissioning and funding of health and care services locally – you can visit the new site here.

Their latest Sheffield Community Health Update provides their latest news including details of:-

  • the new GP access service extended across Sheffield. From 1 October patients will be able to book appointments outside normal practice hours between 6.30pm and 8.00pm, Monday to Saturday in 11 ‘hubs’ across the city with more patients benefitting from appointments closer to home.
  • a Covid-19 and flu update encouraging people to have their boosters this autumn to reduce your risk of being seriously ill or being admitted to hospital.
  • the last chance to have your say on Sheffield GPs’ plans to move into new buildings before the public consultation closes next week

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
