Legal Support Project: Help with Transport Discrimination Claims

Legal Support Project: Help with Transport Discrimination Claims

The Equality and Human Rights Commission ( EHRC ) legal support project provides funding and legal assistance to help people who have experienced discrimination to pursue their claims and access justice.

They now want to challenge transport operators when they have failed to act on their legal responsibilities, so that this acts as a deterrent to others.

How to Apply
If you provide representation to a disabled or older person who has had difficulty using, or trying to use, public transport, the Equality and Human Rights Commission want to hear from you.

If you are an individual who thinks you have suffered discrimination in the provision of transport see Help for Individuals below.

The incident must have happened in the last six months in England, Scotland or Wales.

Read the further information document before you complete an application:

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
