Interested in being a Volunteer Advocate?

Our advocacy service is looking for people interested in becoming volunteer advocates. This role involves working one to one with individuals to help them to get their voice heard, and address difficulties they may be having in relation to health or social care. The time commitment is flexible depending on what you are able to offer. We will be running a one day introductory course soon, which gives you the chance to find out if advocacy might be the right volunteering opportunity for you. A date is yet to be set ( rescheduled from the original date of 18 Sept ).If you are interested please contact Keith Campbell, one of our advocacy workers at Disability Sheffield by phone on 0114 2536750 or by email Find out more about Volunteering with Disability Sheffield here .

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.
