'Grab and Go' Goes Online This Week

Speakup are raising awareness about the new Covid 19 Grab and Go sheet this week. If you have a learning disability or autism and need to go into hospital because of Coronavirus the Grab and Go sheet gives the information doctors and nurses need.

Find out more about Grab and Go with Speak Up on Zoom sessions on the dates below every day this week from 11am to 12 noon

Monday 19th of October 11-12
Tuesday 20th of October 11-12
Wednesday 21st of October 11-12
Thursday 22nd of October 11-12
Friday 23rd of October 11-12

To book one of these sessions email: hayley@speakup.org.uk

A Zoom link will then be emailed to you or your group.

The Grab and Go sheet has been designed in partnership with people with learning disabilities and autism, families and nurses. It gives information that doctors will need if patients with a learning disability, autism or both are admitted to hospital and struggling to breathe. It is not a replacement for the everyday, detailed hospital passport.

You can use these guidance notes to help you complete the Grab and Go sheet.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
