Consultation to Develop the Team Up! Safeguarding Scheme

Team Up! is a Sheffield Safeguarding Scheme, which is working to make sure children and vulnerable people have a great experience as valued spectators at sporting events.

Through its role on the Safety Advisory Group, the Sheffield Safeguarding Children Board routinely works with the Sheffield Licensing Authority, which has a reputation for its proactive work in safeguarding and which has a commitment to making sports grounds safer places, where everyone counts.

Following discussions with local sports clubs regarding Team Up, the Sheffield Safeguarding Children Board are currently running a survey to find out what issues unaccompanied/vulnerable people (children or adults) face when they go to watch sporting events and what they think might be done differently, to help/encourage them to go and watch sporting events.

You can complete the survey online here and the closing date for the survey is 25th September 2017.

Recent Feedback

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
