Carers Week Cares for your Wellbeing

Carers Week Cares for your Wellbeing

Carers Week ( 6 – 12 June ) is an annual event that raises awareness and celebrates the massive contribution that unpaid carers make to our communities by providing a wide range of help and support to relatives and friends. It also helps people who don’t think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support.

The Carers Week theme this year is ‘Make Caring Visible, Valued and Supported’. Sheffield Carers Centre has partnered with Sheffield City Trust to celebrate Carers Week and offer a series of free leisure taster sessions.

A Carers Wellbeing event is taking place at Ponds Forge on Thursday 9 June from 11am to 7pm providing information about the taster activities on the day and all of Sheffield Carer’s centre services.

Recent Feedback

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
