    Part of the Festival of Debate, Touretteshero’s Radical Reading group is a free event which will take place at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield on Friday 16th May from 10am-1pm.If you’re a disabled, neurodivergent or chronically ill person with an interest in connecting to ideas in different ways join this relaxed event using text in different accessible formats.

    Independent Living Day in Europe

    This year May 5th is not just a Bank holiday , it’s European Independent Living Day. Independent living refers to Disabled people living in the community with the same choices, control, and freedom as any other citizen, including having choice and control over where they live, who they live with, and the support they receive. It’s about empowering individuals to make their own decisions about their lives and participate fully in their communities.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
