Reclaiming Our Futures (ROFA) is an alliance of grass roots groups and disabled peoples’ organisations (DPOs) across the UK who have come together to defend disabled people’s rights and fight for an inclusive society. This written submission has been drafted specifically to address the impact of the Equality Act 2010 on Disabled people’s independent living. Disability Sheffield are part of this response as a member of ROFA.

An Easy Read Version is now available of this guide which has been written to help Independent Living Fund ( ILF ) users understand legal and practical issues about community care assessments and support and how it will apply to them following the closure of the ILF in June 2015. It is also aimed at other adults with high support needs who may not have had support from ILF.
