A disabled-led company called Touretteshero is running an event as part of the Festival of Debate , a non-partisan programme of events during April and May across South Yorkshire.
Touretteshero’s Radical Reading group is a free event which will take place at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield on Friday 16th May from 10am-1pm.
Join Touretteshero for a reading group with a radical twist as they take a well-known academic text and make it available in different accessible formats including audio, British Sign Language and Easy Read. A Visual Story using words and pictures to explain what to expect will be sent to you before the event.
If you’re a disabled, neurodivergent or chronically ill person with an interest in connecting to ideas in different ways, you’ll go through the paper together, discuss the ideas and think about how the work can be shared with others.
More details of the event, including how to book, can be on the Festival of Debate website
