Pause at Step 3 of the Roadmap

Pause at Step 3 of the Roadmap

In England from 21 June, there’s a 4-week pause at Step 3 of the roadmap. After 2 weeks, the government will review the data to see if the risks from the new Covid variant have reduced. It’s expected that England will move to Step 4 on 19 July. See recent and upcoming changes.

Hot off the press here’s the latest briefing from NHS Sheffield about the vaccination rollout including FAQs highlighted by GPs and community groups.

It’s six months ago this week since the start of the vaccination programme. Over 340K people in Sheffield have had their first dose
vaccination and almost 240K have had their second.Sheffield also has the highest percent vaccine uptake, for first and second doses, out of the top 8 core cities in England.

Young people aged 21 and over are now eligible for vaccination and it’s expected to be announced that people aged over 18 will be eligible
later this week. More walk in and pop up vaccination clinics are taking place across the city at venues like the Crucible Theatre, Darnall Primary Care Centre and the Sheffield Octagon Centre.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
