This new draft policy sets out Sheffield City Council’s Housing Service commitment to individuals who experience vulnerability.
The term ‘vulnerability’ covers a broad range of issues, situations and needs.
By reading their draft policy and completing their short survey you can help the Housing Service to understand and define what it means to be vulnerable and what adjustments can be put in place to support vulnerable individuals to access their service.
The draft policy includes a number of issues our information and advocacy service at Disability Sheffield have raised over the years in feedback , consultation responses, policy meetings and when supporting individual service user complaints – for example on identifying and recording vulnerability when dealing with repairs, the offer of reasonable adjustments and learning from mistakes and complaints to ensure the continuous improvement of services.
