As an individual employer you can apply for funding from Skills for Care to train yourself and your personal assistants (PAs).
The funding can be used to cover training costs to develop your skills as an employer, direct costs of completing training/qualifications, hiring replacement support whilst your usual PA is attending training courses and travel.
It’s available to people who employ their own care and support using an adult social care direct payment (personal budget) or using your own money as a ‘self-funder’.
To apply for funding you’ll need to complete an application form by 5pm on Sunday 31 March 2024 and any training that you want to be funded must be started by 30 April 2024.
