Housing Allocations Policy Consultation

Housing Allocations Policy Consultation

Earlier this year, we wrote a blog on Phase 1 of Sheffield City Council’s housing allocations policy review and consultation, which asked for your thoughts on how the Council could ensure fairness when allocating social housing.

In Phase 2 the Council has taken all feedback into account and created a new draft of the Housing Allocations Policy. They want to make sure they have got it right and welcome any further feedback.

You can read the full consultation report, their draft policy and table of proposed changes on their Have Your Say page.

The Phase 2 consultation is open until 17th November.

Officers are available at the First point and the Sheffield Property Shop throughout the duration of the consultation ( Monday -Friday 9:00am-17:00pm excluding Wednesdays 13:00pm-17:00pm ).

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.
