Helping You To Get Doc Ready

Helping You To Get Doc Ready

To support you to have a better conversation with a doctor about your health and wellbeing teh NHS has produced this new infographic so that you can be ready to talk about your health giving you pointers for before, during and at the end of your appointment.

Talking about mental health can be extremely difficult and it is especially hard to talk to people or ask for help, so a digital tool has been set up to help people prepare for the first time they visit a doctor to discuss their mental health.

Doc Ready offers information and advice about speaking to a GP about mental health, including what to expect and how to plan. It also advises you to build a checklist of what to tell and ask your doctor, and information about your legal rights.

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
