Help the Home Office to Make Their Services More Accessible

The Home Office is hoping to improve its accessibility for disabled people who use its services. Their aim is that everyone who needs Home Office services can use them.

It regularly conducts research with people with accessibility needs, usually involving interviewing people about how they currently access services and for example watching them on a computer using their service.

Currently their researchers would like to speak to people with physical and cognitive access needs, especially those who use assistive technology, about a new service for EU citizens to apply to stay in the UK after we leave the EU. View Flyer

All research is confidential and is only used to improve services. A research session normally involves talking about your experiences and then trying out a website which is currently being developed. It usually takes around 90 minutes.

As a thank you to participants the Home Office is offering £90 worth of shopping vouchers per research session. If you have questions or would like to take part, please contact Gul by email at Eu.research@digital.homeoffice.gov.uk

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
