Gleadless Valley & Heeley Unpaid Carers Support Group

The Gleadless Valley and Heeley Unpaid Carers Support Group offers a welcoming and supportive environment for unpaid carers to drop in for support, chat, refreshments and regular special events.

Facilitated by Reach South Sheffield the group meet every 3rd Thursday of the month and attendees are welcome to bring the person they care for or a friend or relative to the friendly group.

The group, which meets at Newfield Green Library, gives unpaid carers the chance to chat to other carers who can share their experiences and discuss the challenges they have faced throughout their time caring. Attendees can also enjoy the time to relax and make new friends and share information.

If attendees are not a member of the Library they can join up at the group and take books out the same day, or take time to enjoy the free library access to the internet.

Recent Feedback    (We'd love to receive your feedback, please click here to add some)

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
