Get Into the Groove at Our Dance 4 All Sessions

We may mostly be stuck indoors at the moment, but those lovely people at our cycling project, Sheffield Cycling 4 All, have taken steps to create a moving experience for you – their brand new Dance 4 All sessions starting on Friday February 5th!

These inclusive dance classes are led by Sheffield based dance teacher Angelina Abel and are designed to break barriers through movement and storytelling to the sound of vibrant African rhythms. These classes are tailored to suit all different abilities and fitness levels, with seated and standing options for each dance move. No equipment is needed, you can wear whatever you want, can have a personal assistant, family member or friend with you, and best of all, it’s free to take part.

All they ask from possible participants is that you complete a short ‘health form’ just to make sure you get the most out of the 45-minute sessions and are not asked to do anything that would prove too difficult. As well as Angelica, all classes will also be attended by someone from Disability Sheffield.

This online class takes place every Friday lunchtime on video conferencing site Zoom. Participants will be given a Zoom code, which they can put in to the website and then take part. It’s that simple. To find out more you can email info@sheffieldcycling4all.org or call Tom on 07922 183338.

Dance 4 All is from noon-1pm on Fridays for six weeks starting on February 5th. If it proves popular enough there are plans to carry on the sessions. And don’t forget that Sheffield Cycling 4 All also runs the successful Yoga 4 All and Move And Chat sessions too.

SC4A also has Facebook, Twitter and Instagram sites.

All sessions are free of charge but donations to Disability Sheffield (which runs Sheffield Cyling 4 All) are always appreciated. You can donate at: https://www.disabilitysheffield.org.uk/donate.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
