Film Industry Paid Training Opportunity

Are you passionate about film and want to work in the industry, but are struggling to find your way in? FEDS is a traineeship scheme that offers more than eight months of paid work in a top cinema or film festival. FEDS puts you ahead of the pack in the job market: 70% of past trainees move into full careers in the film industry.

FEDS want to make the film industry more inclusive. Only 4% of the film workforce are people of colour and less than 5% are people who consider themselves to have a disability. That’s why this scheme is specifically looking to recruit from these groups.

Applicants must be new entrants to the film industry.

The trainee scheme will be based at the Showroom in Sheffield – other film venues across the country are offering traineeships as well. It’s paid and will prioritise applications from Black and Minority Ethnic ( BAME people ) and people who consider themselves to be disabled.

The deadline for applications is 3 January

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
