Equipment is in the House

Equipment is in the House

Finding the right equipment to help you in your home can help make life easier. Sheffield City Council has announced you can now use a brand-new feature in the Sheffield Directory designed to make finding home adaptations and assistive equipment simpler than ever.

Equipment House is a virtual home where each room and piece of furniture reveals practical aids tailored to everyday needs. Whether it’s grab rails in the bathroom, stairlifts in the hallway, or adapted cutlery in the kitchen, Equipment House brings solutions to life through an interactive tool allowing you to click on each area of the home.

There are full details of what is available and how to access the items you need, as well as links to organisations that can help and what to do if you still need support.

Equipment House is especially useful for:

• Disabled individuals exploring support options

• People and Carers looking to make home life safer and easier

• Occupational Therapists and Support Workers

• Community groups providing advocacy and advice

If you’re looking for equipment have a look inside Equipment House where you can also make any comments.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.
