South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority are consulting with registered users and non-users of Community Transport to help them and the local Community Transport operators, understand how customers use Community Transport and the potential barriers to using Community Transport.
If you’d like to give your views please complete their survey which closes at 12 noon on 24 August 2025
Sheffield Transport 4 All, a city-wide pan-disability group of disabled transport users that meet quarterly with Sheffield City Council, South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive and public transport operators in the city, is also offering an opportunity for more comprehensive feedback.
James Martin , Chair of Sheffield Transport 4 All says: “Community Transport for some disabled people is the only means to get around whether it be because ordinary public transport is unsuitable, or there are no routes. Therefore, we encourage those who do use, or would like to use Community Transport in the future to fill in this survey and also let us know your key points at sheffieldt4a@james-martin.org.uk .
Emailing Sheffield Transport 4 All is particularly important if you find the survey does not allow you to talk about all forms of Community Transport that you use. For example, Door 2 Door and GroupTravel. Or if the survey places too many limits on your feedback about the service.
Anything you send us will be used to build an overall picture to work with other disability organisations in South Yorkshire, raise common issues and concerns and increase transparency of the effectiveness of the service.”
