Vision to Reality

Vision to Reality

The National Autistic Society ( NAS ) has launched a new Vision to Reality strategy for 2023 to 2026. Guided by the Moonshot Vision, it outlines the beliefs, ambitions and priorities that will guide their work.

“Whether you’re an autistic person, family member or ally, a partner organisation, a staff member or Trustee, a volunteer at your local branch, a committed campaigner or fundraiser – or perhaps several of these – this strategy helps define a set of shared objectives to change the world together.”

Put simply it sets out the role of the National Autistic Society in creating a society that works for autistic people. The strategy is shaped by what autistic people said and expect from NAS – that the organisation needs to exist for all autistic people, that they can’t do it alone, and that they need to be louder and bolder as a leader.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
