    Gathering Stories from the Pandemic

    Sheffield is creating a unique, long-lasting, and creative memorial as a tribute to people who have died from Covid, those who have lost loved ones and people who have been affected by the pandemic. Stories from the Pandemic is inviting everyone across the city to share their stories either on their website or on postcards which are available in libraries, museums and other city venues.

  • Holocaust Memorial Day Vigil

    Holocaust Memorial Day Vigil

    To commemorate the Holocaust Sheffield is holding a candlelit vigil on Monday 27 January 2020 from 5.45 to 7pm in the Winter Garden. The theme this year is Stand Together and will focus on how genocidal regimes throughout history have deliberately fractured societies by marginalising certain groups. A selection of short films will be screened in the Winter Garden during the day, from 12noon to 4.30pm ( pop in anytime ) and a collection of posters are on display in the Winter Gardens from 20th – 27th January.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
