    The Disability Union, founded in 2020 to further disability rights and increase inclusion , has released its annual report showing its achievements during 2022. The Union is now planning a pilot project to trai disabled people to run for political office, as part of its community and political work.

    Disability Union Launches Skills Academy

    The Disability Union, which describes itself as ‘the first union by and for disabled people and carers,’ has launched a pilot Skills Academy. It will enable Union members to access over 700 courses ranging from employability skills to new vocational accredited qualifications.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
