Scope for Winning Equality Awards

Scope for Winning Equality Awards

Do you know an organisation or individual that’s working hard to achieve disability equality? Then you may be interested in entering them for an award to recognise their good work

Disability charity Scope is running the awards with several categories including ones for influencers, journalists, role models, campaigns and accessible products.

“The Scope Disability Equality Awards celebrates the achievements of people and groups who are working every day to end disability inequality,’‘ they say,

“We want to hear from the individuals, community groups and organisations who are paving the way. Those who are advancing disability equality and bringing people together to create meaningful change in their local area.”

By celebrating your stories, we can empower and inspire others to join the campaign for equality for disabled people.”

You can nominate people and organisations here. Nominations for the 2024 awards will close on 6 October 2023. For further information you can email awards@scope.org.uk

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference
