Could you be a Host for England Netball?

England Netball are looking to expand their sessions for Walking Netball across the country and want to train up more ‘hosts’ to deliver these sessions in South Yorkshire.

Walking Netball is an adapted version of the game, designed to help protect joints, get people active, stimulate the mind and provide social opportunities for players. The sessions are aimed at:

- Older adults and the elderly
- People with mental health problems
- Disabled people
- People looking to improve health and fitness
- People looking to lose weight
- Players recovering from injury

To deliver Walking Netball you must be a ‘host’, who has attended an England Netball course, which covers the basics of delivering a safe and fun session and gives you some ideas for delivery.

England Netball will be running a training session for ‘hosts’ on 24th February from 10am-4pm at the XP academy in Doncaster for a cost of £65 for participants affiliated with England Netball and £80 for participants who are not.

Once trained England Netball will provide ‘hosts’ with support and guidance as well as branding and advertising.

If you are interested in becoming a ‘host’ and want more info or would like to book a place please email Jade.Elson@englandnetball.co.uk

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
