South Yorkshire's Survival Guide

South Yorkshire's Survival Guide

This new Survival Guide is designed as a first port of call for anyone who is homeless or at risk of becoming homeless in South Yorkshire. It provides information on finding accommodation, food, health, other support and amenities in the Sheffield, Barnsley, Doncaster and Rotherham areas.

The guide includes many types of organisation, some of which you can attend as a drop-in without an appointment, some require an appointment and some you may only access with a referral from an agency such as Citizens’ Advice or health care professionals. If you have questions regarding any of the services, then use the contact details provided in this guide to seek answers and advice.
If you contact a service in this guide and they are unable to help you in the first instance, then it is likely that they will redirect you to somewhere that can.

Here’s the link to all the Survival Guides and the Survival Guide for Sheffield.

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference
