Social prescribing is a way of linking patients in primary care with sources of support within the community – usually provided by the voluntary and community sector, offering GPs a non-medical referral option that can operate alongside existing treatments to improve health and wellbeing. Sheffield MESH Community Cohesion Services is offering free mediation for people with health problems caused by conflict in their community or interpersonal relationships.
MESH Community Cohesion Services is a registered charity working in South Yorkshire, dedicated to the use and promotion of mediation as a way of stopping stress. They are providing advice on dealing with difficult people and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) which hopefully will impact in a positive way on people’s health and wellbeing and therefore lead to a reduction in the use of medical services.
If you feel you would benefit from this service or would like more information about the Social Prescribing Mediation Pilot, email MESH at enquires@meshccs.org.uk or phone 0114 2412771. View flyer .
