Sheffield Suicide Support

Sheffield Suicide Support

A new website, Sheffield Suicide Support , has been set up in Sheffield to help people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which lead to suicide or people who are worried about someone else experiencing those emotions.

You can use it to search for local and national help, support and information, as well as specific support around bereavement and there are also learning and training resources on the site.

The website was set up by locally-based mental health charity Sheffield Flourish in partnership with Sheffield City Council, by collaborating with local people who have experienced suicidal thoughts.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
