Big Voice : Keeping Safe and Well - 10am - 2pm

Friday 10th October

We are pleased to announce that our next Sheffield Voices Big Voice event will explore the theme of what it means to be Safe and Well in Sheffield.

When: Friday,10th October
Time: 10am to 2pm ( doors open at 9.45am )
Where: St Mary’s Church, Bramall Lane Highfield S2 4QZ

Our Big Voice event is a space where people with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism share what matters most to them. We want decision makers, community leaders, and disability advocates to hear directly from people with lived experience.

Even if you’re not already a Sheffield Voices member, if you have a learning disability and/or autism we would love you to come along! Your voice is just as important.

The event will be:

Interactive – with opportunities to get involved

Led by Sheffield Voices members – amplifying real voices

Supported by guest speakers – sharing expertise and insights

A call to action – we’ll be sharing what’s needed for us to feel safe and well in Sheffield

We’ll also provide lunch!

Please book a place and find further information on Eventbrite. You can also contact us at info@sheffieldvoices.org.uk

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference
