This online virtual event will provide the opportunity to hear about the impact of Covid-19 on the lives of disabled people and physical activity.
With a keynote speech from Yorkshire’s own gold medal winning Paralympian Hannah Cockroft MBE this online event will:
• Inform the audience on the benefits of disabled people being active and smaller local networks developed to improve local communication and understanding across different audience groups.
• Highlight emerging insight into experiences of disabled people in being active during response to Covid -19, the inequalities that have widened as a result of Covid-19 and the longer term impact on physical and mental health and wellbeing.
• Finally it will support a call to action with the development of local multisector networks to address the inequalities that disabled people face in relation to physical activity and the benefits this brings to physical and mental health.
