We are a membership and user led organisation, run and controlled by disabled people. We promote independent living for disabled people in Sheffield. By independent living we mean that disabled people have the same freedom and rights to exercise choice and control over their own lives as any other person.

We're Hiring a Project Development Worker

Sheffield Voices is recruiting a Project Development Worker. You will be working in a small but busy team assisting with the day to day running of community social advocacy projects. Your job role will include attending and co-delivering group sessions, workshops, and events. The main part of this role is building on our young person’s self-advocacy project that we started last year. The closing date for applications is 31 May.

Could you be a PA Champion?

Sheffield Council has commissioned The PA Champion project designed to raise awareness of direct payments within the city, with a particular focus on Personal Assistants. They are advertising two PA Champion posts ( closing date 7 June ) and looking for five Co-Design Group Members with lived experience of employing PAs or personal assistants themselves to help shape delivery of the project.
