We are pleased to announce that Sheffield Voices next Big Voice Conference at the Town Hall is about Employment, Volunteering and Meaningful Activity.
This event is for people with a learning disability and Autistic people living in the Sheffield area. You can come as part of a group, or by yourself. Everyone is welcome – do let us know if you are bringing a bigger group along.
Refreshments and Lunch provided
We know how many of you struggle to do the jobs you want, or feel excluded from talks when employment is not for you.
We want to discuss the different options you have, what you think is good, and what needs to be done better. We will be discussing topics like supported employment and volunteering, being an expert by experience, and talking about what is most important to you, working or otherwise.
We want to hear from as many people as possible. Here’s our Employment Work Pack. We would love it if different services could help people to fill these out or use them as a starting point for sessions.
Please send any completed worksheets to info@sheffieldvoices.org.uk
We would also like to invite representatives of each service to come to our Big Voice event. Ideally this will be 2-4 people per organisation. We have limited space in the town hall, and we want everyone to be comfortable, so please do contact us to book your space.
Please contact us at info@sheffieldvoices.org.uk to book your space.
See our Big Voice Conference Flier for more information about what to expect on the day and our contact details – do contact us if you have any questions!
