Cost Of Living Big Five

Citizens Advice Sheffield and their trained advisers are providing in-depth support to their clients to enable them to access local funding to help with the cost of living.

Part of maximising a client’s income and providing debt advice is going through a checklist of the big 5 key schemes available through Sheffield City Council which are:-

1 Local Assistance Scheme

2.Council Tax Support and Council Tax Discounts/Exemptions

3.Discretionary Housing Payment

4.Council Tax Hardship Scheme.

5.Household Support Fund

You can read more about the support Citizens Advice Sheffield offer in SheffNews
where Kirsty and Matt talk here about the help they provide.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
