NHS England Personal Health Budget Survey

NHS England ( NHSE ) wants to understand your thoughts and experience of a personal health budget ( PHB ). For the first time NHSE is taking an entirely ‘bottom up look’ through their Lived Experience Programme at what motivates people to take up the offer of a PHB and who could benefit from one.

If you wish to give your views their survey is still open but only until Thursday 20 July.

NHSE particularly want to hear and learn from people who:

• Have a personal health budget and are confident on both its purpose and how to use it

• Have a personal health budget but are not confident on its purpose and how to use it

• Don’t have a personal health budget but would like to have one

• Have heard of personal health budgets but don’t feel it would help them

• Have not heard of personal health budgets but would like to understand more.

All views will be anonymised and confidentiality is ensured. The policy and development team at NHS England will use the findings to develop a new action plan and strategy to better promote and improve the use of personal health budgets.

Please complete the survey here .

If you don’t feel the survey gives you the opportunity to get all your views across please feel free to email Richard Hills at rhills@impower.co.uk or Grace Warman at gwarman@impower.co.uk giving your further thoughts and ideas for how PHBs can be improved and expanded as well as what’s worked for you.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
